Charlotte Lemmens shares her family life with her husband Vincent Icke. Their combined children range from several grown-ups all the way to an almost 9 year old girl, who are a source of great joy every day we spend with them.
Currently working as CEO at:
Kasteel and Estate Keukenhof, Lisse: a beautiful estate of 230 hectares of woods, meadows, parks, gardens, a castle and 17 more monuments. The world famous flower exhibition is hosted on about 50 hectares of the Estate. My ambition is to further develop this unique beauty spot near the sea, in between Amsterdam and The Hague, just around the corner of Schiphol Airport. It will be a sparkling and buzzing center of natural and cultural activities all year round emphasizing the original purpose of this type of noble estates: to serve as a cradle for innovation, arts, science, dialogue and philosophy. But always leisure, beauty, playing, nice food and drinks included!
LeavesForLife: a foundation that aims to have 2 billion hectares of trees planted in the next 40 50 years. Using Dutch innovations this can be done on very dry and marginal land, for instance bordering on deserts. Forestation of only 5% of the current deserts is enough for the 2 billion hectares of forest.
Aelium: a theme park about the Universe, Life and Planet Earth, with the help of all science and technology available and developing now and in the future. Aelium itself will also be an innovation of the attraction park concepts in the world, and the most sustainable theme park of the planet, with great emphasis on all possibilities of sustainable building, working, living, transportation and such.
Aelium will be founded in China and in The Netherlands.
